The local ornamental plants' sector, which realized 1,718 billion in cut flower, indoor and outdoor ornamental plants and flower bulb production on an area of 52.5 million square meters last year, closed 2019 with imports of 43 million dollars in exchange for 80.4 million dollars in exports. Directly employing 100,000 people and providing indirect employment for 500,000 people, the industry realized production of approximately 6 billion Turkish lira.
